How Import-Export Trade Finance Works
Import-Export trade finance can be provided through the use of international factoring.  Two factors (the import factor and the export factor) will arrange to guarantee payment to the exporter for good shipped.  Generally, both factors are a member of an international trade organization such as Factors Chain located in Amsterdam.  International factoring is now provided in almost every nation in the world.  With international factoring, no complicated letters of credit are generally required.
